Three Arrested in Murder of Former Harry Winston Executive May 08, 2022 (0 comments)
Palm Springs, CA--Elijah Ray Burt Jr. and Emanuel Rick Burt Jr. were arrested for a confrontation that ultimately ended with the murder of a former luxury retail executive outside of a California shopping center.
They were arrested in Nevada May 3, according to a report by Channel 3 News in Palm Springs, California. Elijah Burt was charged with murder while his twin brother Emanuel is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
Reginald Trice III, 18, of Victorville, California, was arrested April 23 and charged with murder, attempted robbery and sentence-enhancing gun and great bodily injury allegations, according to an earlier report by the same news station.
The victim was identified as Michael Moser, 66, of Palm Springs. He was last employed as vice president of U.S. Retail and previously held similar positions with other luxury brands, including Chanel and Montblanc, according to his LinkedIn profile.
The murder occurred at Desert Hills Premium Outlets in nearby Cabazon, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department as quoted by the news station. The three allegedly confronted Moser shortly before 7 p.m. on March 24. Police reportedly said that Moser was shot at least once, prompting calls to 911, after which deputies and paramedics converged on the location.
Life-saving measures were attempted, but Moser was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.
Details of the altercation and how the three were arrested were not revealed, according to the reports.
