Gaborone, Botswana--A fatal accident occurred at the Jwaneng mine in Botswana on June 17, Reuters reported.

The accident involved a crane and drill rig, resulting in the death of an employee from one of Debswana Diamond Company's contracting firms.
Debswana, a joint venture between the Botswana government and De Beers, confirmed the incident in a statement. The company is currently conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
