Google’s goal is to serve the most relevant, user-friendly website to the searcher.

Therefore, Google will reward faster sites with a significant SEO boost. Not only is speeding up your website is one of the easiest ways to boost your SEO, but it will improve your site in every way.

So how do you speed up your website? Here are some tips.

Use Good Web Hosting

One of the biggest factors to your website’s speed is your hosting. Spending a little extra money on your web hosting each month is worth it - a better web hosting plan really makes a strong difference.

Proper Website Structure

There are other many website builders out there and plenty of other custom solutions your store can use. Make sure whichever you choose, the website is built to the latest web standards on the latest technology. Websites on outdated technology are slow.

Also, some websites are really bulky, and/or have tons of outdated plugins running in the background of the site that really isn’t doing much for the website. You’ll want to minimize how many active things you have running in the background of your website.

Use Proper Images

Theres no reason to use large images on your website. Some less tech savvy folks tend to upload large print-quality files to their website. However, this is one of the worst things you can do. Make sure your images are saved as smaller WebP files. These types of files are now the standard image file format for websites, since they’re specifically compressed to load quickly online.
