TikTok Encouraging Longer Content |  March 10, 2024 (0 comments)

With its reimagined rewards program, TikTok is encouraging creators to monetise with longer videos, something that brands can’t participate in.

TikTok is officially launching their new Creator Rewards Program next week, which has been in beta for some time.

The rewards program pays creators for making videos longer than one minute.

The new plan also pays creators based on “originality, play duration, search value and audience engagement.”

It’s clear TikTok wants to move beyond 20 second viral videos and wants to start competing with YouTube for longer content.
