Thank you Jim,
I have two full Time salary employees.  My Master Goldsmith is always early and usually opens before I get to work.  He was with the previous owner for 17 years and My new company for 7.  My new hire a Bench worker in training, has been on time maybe 10 times.  It will be a year at the end of November that she is working on salary full time.  I pay her parking, 100% of her medical, I even gave her a weeks vacation paid as she worked for me for for 7 months part-time before I hired her full time.  I gave her a copy of the full time benefits which include sick days and personal days.  she has used all the time up and actually told me she would be taking another week off this summer to vaca with her family and thought I was paying her.  Her work is good my customers like her and you cannot find goldsmiths.  I have had private talks with her and group meetings.  I am at my wits end and wish I was paying her hourly.
