Jimmy DeGroot: Frustrated? This Book Will Help July 18, 2024 (0 comments)
Green Bay, WI--As a sales and management consultant, it’s likely not a good idea to share secrets, but my philosophy is, the more I can help folks in any way, paid or not, I’ll do it. If you’re at all frustrated with working too much in your business versus on your business, cancel all your plans today and get the book, "The E-Myth Revisited."
I may be late to the party here, but if you’ve already read the book and your business hasn't dramatically changed for the better, crack that thing again. In a nutshell, this book by Michael E. Gerber will teach you how to own and operate a business without it running you. After all, that’s what we all signed up for right? We didn’t want to work 80-hour weeks constantly worried about our business and having little or no life. We got into business to have a life, not a job. If this is hitting home with you, I meant what I said when I said cancel all your plans immediately and read or listen to this book. It should cost $100,000 but I think you’ll find it right in the $15 range.
When you’re done with the book, hire a consultant (I happen to know a few good ones 😊 to walk you through the process of implementing the incredible processes and systems this book teaches. Again $100,000 would be worth it but I think you can find one for quite a bit less. If you’re even just a little bit curious, give it a read or listen and implement just one of the principles Michael teaches. Maybe you’ll be able to start that thing you’ve always wanted to do and your store will actually run better when you’re gone. What a concept!
