Show Your Retailers Support this Holiday Season - Part 2December 10, 2021 (0 comments)
|Key Largo, FL--This year’s holiday shopping season is here and the stakes are as high as ever for most retailers.
In this 2 part article we are discussing ways to show your retail partners support this holiday season. If you missed Part 1, we discussed best practices for Mapping a Timeline and creating individualized Memo packages. In this week’s article we cover two additional ways manufacturers and brands can show their support to their partners and are sure to create a lasting impression past the holiday season.
Sponsor a Catered Lunch
It is no surprise that stores can get extremely busy this time of year. With extended hours and back-to-back appointments, the sales team members don’t always have time to prepare lunch the night before, and leaving the store to grab a quick bite could mean missing a potential client and sale. As a manufacturer/brand, you can research what restaurants are close to your retailers and offer catering. Work with the retailer to set up a time and date that works best for them. Trust me, this one is a crowd-pleaser! Be sure not to forget those that help out behind the scenes. Just because they aren’t on the sales floor doesn’t mean they aren’t putting in extra effort. It resonates when the behind-the-scenes corporate headquarters are included as well.
Send Promotional Creative E-Blasts
This is one of my favorites because it’s an added benefit to the end consumer and a discount to the retailer. An example would be with the purchase of a branded engagement ring, wedding band, or anniversary band from November 26, 2021, to December 31, 2021, the consumer will be entitled to receive a $250 branded Gift Certificate towards the future purchase of a branded bridal piece and $100 Gift Certificate towards the future purchase of an additional branded bridal piece. Doing this creates buzz around your product that lasts longer than the holiday because it keeps consumers coming back for more products in the future.
Of course, there are always more ways to show your support and every brand and manufacturer has their unique way of doing so. In fact, I encourage each brand and manufacturer to add their own flare or special touch to what they do. As I mentioned in Part 1, there is no gesture that goes unappreciated during the holidays, and as we all navigate a return to a new normal supporting one another is more crucial than ever.
