The language of sales stirs emotions, expresses agreement, clarifies doubts, and, more importantly, keeps the customer engaged in the conversation.

But language is more than just a tool that we utilize for various purposes, such as making a sales pitch or writing a cold email. Language shapes the way we think.

Cognitive scientist and professor Lera Boroditsky, in a Ted talk, talks about how sounds, vocabularies, and structures define how we act and think - something salespersons in jewelry retail could make a note of.
