Key Trends in Omnichannel Retailing

Significant to this year’s findings, 78.3% of the top 1000 retailers offer to buy online, pick up in-store (BOPIS) options, while 65.4% of retailers provide real-time in-store stock statuses. Conversely, curbside pickup has decreased, now offered by only 25.3% of the top retailers.

Innovations Driving Success

Emerging trends include adopting shoppable video content across social and streaming platforms, allowing retailers to engage consumers directly and boost sales. This approach is becoming integral for large online retailers, expanding their reach and impact through innovative retail media networks.

Survey results from Digital Commerce 360 and Bizrate Insights reveal that 62% of consumers check product availability online before visiting a store, and 66% have completed an in-store or curbside pickup at Walmart within the past six months, demonstrating strong consumer use of omnichannel options.
