The new store will occupy the building at 902 Penn Ave., which formerly housed Heck Bros. Florist, a long-standing flower shop that closed earlier this year after 117 years of service.

A report published in WFMZ states that the property, at the intersection of Penn Avenue and Park Road, was sold to Murphy Jewelers through a transaction facilitated by local real estate firm NAI Keystone. Heck Bros. Florist was a beloved institution in the community before closing its doors on May 31.

Founded in 1913 by Frank J. Murphy, Murphy Jewelers started with a humble door-to-door service repairing clocks in Schuylkill County. Over the decades, the business has grown into a fourth-generation enterprise with stores in Pottsville, Whitehall Township, and Tilden Township.

The report added that Murphy Jewelers is known for its wide selection of fine jewelry, including rings, bracelets, and necklaces, alongside an array of luxury watch brands such as Rolex, Breitling, and John Hardy.

The company also provides services like jewelry and watch repair, appraisals, and purchasing.
