Phoenix, AZ—Hyde Park Jewelers is closing its Biltmore Fashion Park store in Phoenix, and moving a few miles up the road to a new location at Scottsdale Fashion Square. The jewelry chain, based in Denver, CO, has been located at Biltmore Fashion Park since 2003. The jeweler already has three monobrand watch boutiques (Breitling, Hublot, IWC) in Scottsdale Fashion Square along with its Biltmore Fashion Park location. Its other two locations include the flagship at Cherry Creek Shopping Center in Denver and the former Traditional Jewelers in Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA. The jeweler also had shops in Aspen, CO and Las Vegas, NV, now closed.

“We’ve done very well in Phoenix,” shares CEO Damon Gross, noting a 3000-square-foot expansion was undertaken at the Biltmore location in 2008. Enjoying a wonderful partnership with the Biltmore Fashion Park and the Phoenix community for 17 years, Gross says the Scottsdale Fashion Square has done an exemplary job of expanding their luxury footprint. “We feel the time is right to move to this location.” The new store is 5,000 square feet, 1,300 of which will be a Rolex shop-in-shop and will be located near its existing watch boutiques.

Gross joined the company in 2007 as COO and became CEO in January 2020 when Hyde Park founder Michael Pollak moved up to chairman. Pollak, who began his jewelry career in 1973 selling Native American jewelry on campus as a retail marketing student at the University of Denver, is a renowned luxury jeweler and exclusive retailer of more than 100 brands of fine Swiss timepieces and designer and bridal jewelry.

Hyde Park also is a recognized leader responsible social and business standards, environmental preservation, and philanthropy through its non-profit foundation, Diamonds in the Rough, benefiting Global Down Syndrome Foundation and National Jewish Health and Girls Inc.

Hyde Park will hold a moving sale at the Biltmore location, with discounts of up to 70% on designer brands and watches, as well as diamonds, gold, and silver jewelry.
