According to The Pine Bluff Commercial, she will be honored at the organization's 29th annual awards dinner on October 23 at 7 p.m. at the Little Rock Marriott Hotel, with former Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe serving as master of ceremonies.

The ASYR selected Jones in recognition of her longstanding advocacy for Arkansas youth. The organization highlighted her dedication to caring for at-risk children, commitment to family values, and efforts to give back to the community as key factors in their decision.

In the report, Jefferson County Sheriff Lafayette Woods Sr. praised Jones for her exceptional dedication to philanthropy and the significant impact of her contributions on Arkansans' lives, particularly the Youth Ranch's children. He noted that her ongoing efforts to build a brighter future for the state's youth make her a deserving recipient of the honor.

Ray Dillon, chair of the ASYR board of trustees, stated that Jones exemplifies the values of compassion, generosity, and community upheld by the Ranch. He highlighted her commitment to treating everyone like family and her dedication to making Arkansas a better place for future generations.

For nearly three decades, the ASYR has recognized individuals who have made exceptional contributions toward improving the lives of Arkansas children through the Arkansas Children's Award. The Ranch is entirely privately funded and relies on community support to provide for all the needs associated with raising a child, including shelter, medical care, food, clothing, and educational expenses.

Founded in 1976, the ASYR is a statewide, private nonprofit organization that aims to address, remedy, and prevent child abuse and neglect by creating safe, healthy, and loving homes for Arkansas children. To date, the Ranch has served more than 2,300 children.

Tickets for the award presentation are available at asyr.org.
