Start The New Year Off Better And HappierJanuary 08, 2015 (0 comments)
|Austin, TX—“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.” Mother Teresa (1910-1997), the renowned Albanian missionary Nobel Prize winner, lived this philosophy to the fullest. I am not sure if I’ve ever read a better statement for our business in the luxury jewelry industry. Better and happier in your work. Better and happier in your intentions. Better and happier with how you and your sales team serve the customers.
It’s a simple statement, but can we do it?
At the start of the New Year—with the holiday rush behind us—I suggest you get your sales team together today and ask them how they think you can accomplish this. Is there something else you can do that you aren’t doing? Owners and managers need to constantly keep their team and their minds on the right track. Associates need to constantly keep striving to do their best. Create those conversations that maximize the chances of leaving your customers better and happier than before they walked into your store.
Make It The Best Sales Day Ever!
Pat Henneberry, The Jewelry Coach, actually never envisioned a career in jewelry. But after growing up in the heartlands of Iowa, she moved to Austin, TX, and became an award-winning salesperson with ArtCarved. Now, with more than 30 years’ experience, Henneberry is one of the diamond world’s top trainers, having helped build multiple brands for the jewelry industry. She spent 10 years with DeBeers’ Diamond Promotion Service, where she helped launched new brands, worked on national ad campaigns like "A Diamond is Forever,” and helped retail jewelers build their diamond business. While there, she was the proud recipient of the Diamond Symphony Award by Diamond Promotion Service and DeBeers. Later, she was part of the Hearts On Fire international training team, where she traveled the world teaching retail jewelers how to sell diamonds and grow their business. Henneberry is the founder of The Jewelry Coach. The Jewelry Coach is about building positive principals for self-improvement and personal jewelry sales development, and offers an online 24/7 sales training community.
