Video: How To Dispel Platinum Myth #2, It Scratches And Gets Dull August 16, 2017 (1 comment)

New York, NY—The myth that platinum scratches and gets dull is probably the most frequently recurring misconception about platinum. Yes, platinum does scratch—but so does EVERY other precious metal! The difference is that when gold scratches, microscopic bits of the metal flake away and eventually the prongs—or the entire piece—may have to be repaired or replaced.  When platinum scratches, the metal just moves, so to speak, and the surface gets harder with each scratch, a process known as “work hardening.”  Click here or on the image below to learn more about the process with Kevin Reilly, vice president of Platinum Guild International, and help your sales associates sell this high-profit metal at the counter.

Great explanation Kevin. The info at platinumlearning.com is excellent and will help your team learn more and sell more platinum. Platinum sales are higher dollar and greater profit than other precious metals. The longevity of platinum and the current freakishly low price make it an outstanding value.
