Merrick, NY—Multiple jewelry retailers made news in 2020 by creating special collections specifically to benefit a local charity. We look back at some of those special collections that helped to benefit kids, cancer research, and everyone in need of a little peace in a year of upheaval:

Smyth Jewelers of Timonium, MD, partnered with jewelry brand Tacori to create a line of jewelry called “Shining Strength” (image) to benefit the Susan G. Komen Maryland breast cancer organization.

Stephen Silver Fine Jewelry of Menlo Park, CA, partnered with Gemstone Vineyard to co-design a jewel-incrusted wine bottle for auction, with proceeds going to raise funds for cancer research.

T. Foster & Co. of Yardley, PA, created a special collection of jewelry to celebrate unity and togetherness and that will benefit two local charities through a portion of proceeds from sales.

Dubin’s Fine Jewelry in Houston, TX, created a gold book pendant with proceeds to benefit a local charity called Books Between Kids. The jeweler will donate a book for each necklace sold.

Dubin's Fine Jewelry created gold book pendants, with or without gemstones.

Also helping kids is Michaels Jewelers, a nine-store AGS chain in Connecticut. Through the sale of its Angel Wing Collection, 25% of proceeds will benefit the Connecticut Children’s Health System:
