Merrick, NY—As both a new year and a new decade kick off, upscale jewelers had even more reason to celebrate: the 2019 holiday sales season was the strongest ever. The Centurion Holiday Sales Success Indexshowed more than 80% of respondents had sales increases over the holiday season, and the majority of those were up 10% or more. But underneath the good news ran a thread of worry: the majority of those sales came from older (55+) consumers, not Millennials, showing jewelers still have work to do to entice this important audience.
