Merrick, NY—2021 was year of both great success and great loss. We mourned the passing of many legendary leaders in the industry, from retail visionaries like Jim Dunn and Helene Fortunoff to groundbreaking designers like Jose Hess and Alex Šepkus, association leaders like Al Woodill and Estelle Hedaya (image), a rising star in the industry whose life and career was lost in the tragic collapse of the Champlain Towers South.
